Key Responsibilities

  • •Review, comment on, and advise on third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
  • •Perform complex electrical engineering work and technical reviews, including development of single-line/three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, grounding grid designs, and lightning protection analysis.
  • •Develop electrical calculations (load, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash, voltage drop, lighting, grounding touch/step potentials, and equipment sizing).
  • •Create electrical contract documents (plans and specifications), including construction phasing/sequence and coordination with owners and other disciplines for permits and compliance.
  • •Provide guidance and training to entry- and mid-level engineers and prepare technical reports/presentations for findings and recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •7+ years of electrical engineering experience designing and specifying low- and medium-voltage power distribution and building electrical systems (including lighting, grounding, and lightning protection).
  • •Experience leading designs for medium-voltage primary/secondary distribution substations, switchgear, and system protection.
  • •Currently licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • •US citizenship required; experience with federal government project design and applying UFCs/UFGSs/FCs and relevant NEC/ANSI/IEEE/NFPA/ICC standards.
