Job Summary

Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware across lifecycles by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, and manufacturing). You’ll lead supplier selection, cost engineering, BOM development, and value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and flexibility while managing CAPEX for NPI.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead supplier selection for specific product lines using approved supplier lists and manage supplier relationships across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
•Drive early supplier engagement and joint design development with clear statements of work, including concept scoping, trade studies, and should-cost analyses.
•Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOM and manage CAPEX throughout NPI to enable flexible production.
•Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead times and supplier performance while mitigating risks in component sourcing.
•Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost curves to product cost and manage issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
•3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
•Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level
•Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
•Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
