Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Mine Operating System across Operations.
  • •Establish practical daily, weekly, and monthly operating rhythms, standards, and governance.
  • •Build performance management frameworks including KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards for operational performance visibility.
  • •Facilitate structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and sustainable improvement to close performance gaps.
  • •Coach leaders and teams in operational excellence and performance management, and capture lessons learned into standards and ways of working.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in operational excellence, transformation, business improvement, strategy, or performance management within mining or other complex operating environments.
  • •Ability to develop operating systems, governance frameworks, performance routines, or improvement portfolios.
  • •Direct experience with the Rio Tinto Operating System.
  • •Strong analytical capability to turn complex operational information into clear insights, priorities, and actions.
  • •Engineering or business tertiary qualification; fluency in English and Chinese is highly regarded.
