Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with wafer foundries and internal teams to define process reliability requirements for new technology nodes.
  • •Drive foundry test vehicle qualifications and process reliability improvements before tape-out, supporting product bring-ups and quals.
  • •Perform wearout reliability assessments and provide Design for Reliability guidance to design teams for next-generation products.
  • •Provide reliability Vmax and aging guardband guidance, and develop reliability methodology to optimize product reliability performance.
  • •Collaborate with foundries on stress tests and build reliability models for extrinsic failure mechanisms, including assessing excursion materials for disposition risk.

Salary: USD 168,000 - 322,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Deep understanding of semiconductor process technologies, reliability physics, and acceleration models.
  • •Experience with wearout failure mechanisms (TDDB, BTI, HCI, EM, SM), reliability testing at wafer level, and standards such as JEDEC and AEC.
  • •Strong reliability statistics skills, including failure rate calculations across early life, useful life, and wearout periods.
  • •Knowledge of semiconductor process defects/root causes, failure analysis, and defect screening methodologies.
  • •PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related major (or equivalent experience), with 8+ years in semiconductor reliability.
