Job Summary

Build and improve automated tools, workflows, and infrastructure to increase reliability, scalability, and efficiency for large-scale systems. Partner with engineers to deploy, monitor, and resolve incidents, strengthen observability with SLOs, Prometheus, Grafana, and tracing, and reduce operational toil through automation. Participate in on-call rotations, support mentorship, and contribute to capacity planning, autoscaling, and workload scheduling for AI compute infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide support and mentorship to engineers within the department.
•Develop and maintain automated tools and scripts to improve system reliability, deployment, and incident response.
•Improve system monitoring to speed error detection and remediation and enhance performance and reliability of a virtualization platform.
•Participate in on-call rotations to restore and repair service-impacting issues.
•Write automation and tooling to reduce operational toil, improve deployment safety, and accelerate incident response, including capacity planning and autoscaling for AI compute infrastructure.

Key Requirements

•Expert-level experience in a SysAdmin (Linux/Unix Administration), DevOps, or SRE role working with large-scale distributed systems.
•Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes and large-scale containerization systems.
•Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Golang) and configuration management with Terraform, SaltStack, or Ansible.
•Experience defining SLOs and using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing.
•Ability to architect software and infrastructure at scale and collaborate effectively with teams new to SRE practices.
