Job Summary

Own the global category strategy and delivery model for Applied Materials’ infrastructure and construction spend. Lead supplier portfolio design and segmentation, strategic supplier relationship management, and governance across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. Drive value capture through rate cards, benchmarking, should-cost modeling, and outcome metrics. Integrate construction and third-party risk, partnering with Legal, Risk, and Finance to translate strategy into execution via the Sourcing Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and maintain a multi-year global category strategy and roadmap for infrastructure and construction aligned to capital plans and GSP goals.
•Set delivery-model strategy per project (EPC, PMC, design-build, design-bid-build, hybrid) and guide commercial structures and risk allocation.
•Design supplier portfolio strategy and segmentation, and lead strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) and supplier rationalization.
•Lead stakeholder governance and category councils to ensure consistent construction sourcing experience across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
•Drive value capture using rate-card databases, benchmarking, value engineering/should-cost modeling, and outcome metrics beyond savings.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 141,000 - 193,500

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
•Demonstrated category management leadership in construction, capital projects, real estate, or facilities, including building and executing category strategies, supplier segmentation, and governance models.
•Strong commercial expertise in construction contracting, including negotiations, delivery-model selection (EPC/PMC/design-build), indemnity/LOL, insurance, and total installed cost/value analysis.
•Ability to lead in a global, matrixed organization by driving alignment across regions, project delivery, functions, and senior stakeholders.
•Experience integrating construction, contractual, safety, and supply-market risk into supplier and category decisions.
