Key Responsibilities

  • •Support environmental management work and deliverables across planning, preliminary design, detail design, alternative delivery, and program management.
  • •Assist with municipal, provincial, and Federal environmental/impact assessments and other approval and permitting activities.
  • •Develop and implement consultation programs, including public, municipal, regulatory agency, and Indigenous community engagement.
  • •Liaise with clients and agencies by phone, email, writing, and in-person; coordinate permits and approvals.
  • •Coordinate environmental specialists and contribute to research, report drafting, and project meeting documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related field.
  • •Class G driver’s license.
  • •Knowledge of the Ontario EA Act, TPAP, and Municipal and Ministry of Transportation Class EAs, plus relevant legislation (e.g., Fisheries Act, Species Conservation Act, Navigation Protection Act, Environmental Protection Act).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engagement and negotiation.
  • •Interest in or membership in a professional body (e.g., RPP/MCIP, EP, or PMP).
