Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a service-management subject matter expert for Datadog advocacy and engineering teams across incident response, on-call, IDP, work management, workflow automation, agent builder, and operational automation.
  • •Create technical content across multiple mediums (demos, public speaking, blogging, documentation, webinars, open source, research reports) to build Datadog’s reputation.
  • •Partner with product engineering teams to build compelling demos and coach internal teams on effective communication and presentation.
  • •Interface with open source communities to drive key market messaging and help develop new Datadog integrations.
  • •Contribute to the product via feedback, documentation, or code changes.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years as a Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Software Developer with hands-on on-call/incident response and production operations experience.
  • •Strong understanding of service-management practices (incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, SLOs) and familiarity with tools such as Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, incident.io, Rootly, Jira Cloud Platform, or Cortex.
  • •2+ years of experience creating technical content and storytelling (written content, conference speaking, workshops, live streaming/recording, contributing to open source and community events).
  • •Comfort with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, bash) and experience working with APIs and modern infrastructure like IaaS and containers.
  • •Ability to publicly share writing samples, blog posts, demos, or recordings of presentations on technical topics.
