Job Summary

Lead a team of Asset Coordinators to deliver strategic asset management outcomes for a Defence fleet of support and test equipment. Improve internal processes and material logistics information systems, supervise freight and distribution (including freight agents and custom solutions), and ensure priority support requests are assessed and processed to maintain operational capability. Partner with program management on effective communication, reporting, and Program Efficiency Services.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage Asset Coordinators responsible for strategic asset management activities supporting contracted fleet capability and availability outcomes.
•Provide and process improvement recommendations for internal processes and material logistics information systems.
•Supervise freight and distribution activities, including use of standard national/international freight agents and development of custom freight solutions.
•Review, assess and process priority support requests to ensure operational capability is maintained.
•Ensure effective communication and reporting with program management and initiate, drive, and contribute to Program Efficiency Services delivery.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor degree in Management, Logistics or Supply Chain, or Certificate 4 in Supply/Logistics and/or Procurement related training with equivalent work experience.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in a sustainment/support program or a Supply Chain management role.
•Exposure to a Defence sustainment program.
•SAP/ERP experience is highly desirable.
•Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance and be eligible for Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
