Key Responsibilities

  • •Represent the operator in site inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning, and property acceptance for physical plant, MEP equipment, elevators, and life safety infrastructure.
  • •Coordinate review and system performance evaluations, including architectural/MEP drawings, O&M manuals, warranty agreements, and as-built plans prior to acceptance.
  • •Build, recruit, and structure the engineering department; develop SOPs, emergency response workflows, and safety protocols.
  • •Establish preventive maintenance programs and implement a CMMS/PMMS from scratch, including asset registries.
  • •Prepare and manage engineering operating budget and CapEx; monitor and improve energy/water/fuel usage and manage third-party maintenance contracts and sustainability compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical discipline.
  • •Minimum 5–8 years as a Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer in a 5-star luxury hotel or integrated resort environment.
  • •Proven pre-opening track record from construction phase/handover through operational launch.
  • •Middle East / GCC experience preferred, including familiarity with Bahrain Civil Defence, EWA regulations, and local vendor ecosystems.
  • •Deep knowledge of central HVAC operations, BMS systems, desalination/water treatment, emergency generators, high-voltage networks, and advanced FLS protocols.
