Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction-phase cost estimates for mechanical construction scopes.
  • •Develop and maintain mechanical cost plans, budgets, estimate updates, and forecasting models throughout project delivery.
  • •Review drawings, specifications, BIM models, and design documentation to quantify mechanical systems and prepare quantity takeoffs for HVAC, process piping, utility infrastructure, and related equipment.
  • •Validate contractor/subcontractor estimates and bid submissions; evaluate and negotiate change orders with accurate change management documentation.
  • •Support cost management activities such as cost reporting, forecasting, contingency tracking, budget monitoring, and value engineering; mentor junior estimators and contribute to best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of mechanical estimating, quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial management experience in construction.
  • •Experience supporting large-scale industrial/manufacturing and complex construction projects such as semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data center, or similar.
  • •Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems (HVAC, chilled water, process piping, utility infrastructure, and mechanical equipment).
  • •Demonstrated ability preparing estimates, quantity takeoffs, cost plans, change order evaluations, forecasting, and cost analysis across the project lifecycle.
  • •Proficiency with estimating/quantity takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, OST, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
