Job Summary

Support data-informed decision making for NPR’s new audience-centric app by building measurement plans, implementing and QCing analytics tags, and extracting insights from complex datasets. You’ll write SQL queries for performance analytics across the app, site, and video, create visualizations, and maintain stakeholder relationships across Product and newsroom teams. Partner with Data Products on dashboard and tool design, support data issue resolution, and help streamline analytics infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage measurement plans for NPR’s owned and operated platforms using Google Tag Manager, including QCing tags after implementation.
•Write SQL queries to provide performance analytics across app, video, and website datasets.
•Extract insights from complex datasets, create visualizations, and support daily product analytics needs.
•Maintain relationships with stakeholders across Product and partner with Data Products on dashboard and tool design.
•Support diagnosing and resolving data issues, streamline scheduled queries and data summaries, and write guides/documentation for analytics.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of demonstrated expertise in SQL and databases.
•Experience with BigQuery and/or Dataform.
•2+ years of demonstrated expertise in Google Firebase data and app analytics.
•Proven experience with GA4 (or similar large, raw datasets of digital behavior).
•Experience making measurement plans and QCing Google Tag Manager tags, plus experience with Looker.
