Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a safety leader by adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • •Develop, manage, and lead technical investigations and test programs to improve operating plant processes and process control.
  • •Troubleshoot issues with plant processes and laboratory, pilot, and/or plant-scale equipment.
  • •Compile and analyze technical data from multiple sources, prepare summary reports with recommendations, and optimize processes using sampling surveys and measurement of operating parameters.
  • •Provide technical assistance for metallurgical and maintenance problems and support project start-up, process development, and hand-over stages.

Salary: CAD 99,684 - 107,808 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Graduate from a Chemical Technology program at a recognized Institute of Technology, or hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • •Working knowledge of physical, chemical, and metallurgical processes as they relate to plant operations.
  • •Working independently while contributing to the success of a technical group.
  • •Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office, PDH, LIMS, and GE Aps.
  • •Demonstrated ability to lead technical investigations and test programs that support process improvement.
