Job Summary

Design and develop mechanical product concepts with project engineers, creating 3D, 2D, and assembly drawings and building/releasing BOMs through the company process. Evaluate design integrity and functionality using mechanical theory calculations, CAE, dimensional stack-ups, and DFMEA. Collaborate with suppliers, support engineering sample testing from concept through production, and maintain engineering records and change notices to support manufacturing and quality assessment.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with project engineers, product managers, and chief engineers to develop new mechanical product ideas/concepts.
•Create 3D, 2D, and assembly drawings; build and release product BOMs per the SBD process.
•Analyze design integrity and functionality using mechanical calculations, CAE, dimensional stack-ups, and DFMEA.
•Work with suppliers to develop new components.
•Support engineering sample lot release and engineering testing (with reliability engineer and test center), then issue/maintain engineering drawing records and engineering change notices.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
•1+ year of experience designing or implementing mechanical products.
•Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and mechanical design theory.
•Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
•Proficient with at least one 3D software (CATIA preferred) and reliable English written/verbal communication.
