Build scalable backend microservices for Kong Konnect and the Developer Portal as part of the IAM team. •Develop and maintain backend microservices in Golang for authentication and authorization in Kong Konnect and the Developer Portal.
•Build scalable APIs integrating identity and access management capabilities across Kong’s product ecosystem.
•Deploy and manage services on AWS using Kubernetes for container orchestration, high availability, and performance.
•Implement secure, performant backend services that enforce access control policies and handle high-volume traffic.
•Collaborate with engineers and security teams; write well-tested code, participate in reviews, and monitor/optimize reliability and security (including on-call rotation).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 195,000 annually

Key Requirements

•3+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend services and distributed systems.
•Strong proficiency in Golang building production microservices.
•Experience developing API-first services using REST and gRPC.
•Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
•Experience deploying and operating services with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, and managing containerized applications).
