Job Summary

Lead construction management projects for a Program Management and Construction Management team, supervising project staff and overseeing construction administration, engineering and inspection services. Own scheduling, budget and scope delivery, and prepare monthly and final estimates while communicating with contractors, inspection personnel, utilities, and stakeholders. Maintain client and stakeholder relationships and drive compliance with contract plans, standards, specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise a project staff responsible for construction administration, project management, and construction engineering and inspection services.
•Schedule and manage subordinate staff to ensure satisfactory project delivery and compliance with client construction management and inspection policies.
•Prepare monthly and final estimates and communicate with contractors, inspection personnel, utility companies, and the general public to meet contract plans, standards, and specifications.
•Lead weekly progress meetings by assembling minutes, compiling comments, and distributing minutes.
•Maintain positive working relationships with client stakeholders, including government and private entities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar accredited engineering field.
•10+ years of experience in major infrastructure construction projects such as railroads, transit, stations, highways, bridges, buildings, and maintenance facilities.
•Professional Engineers license in Maryland (or ability to obtain within one year); Certified Construction Manager may substitute.
•Experience managing work scope, budgets, and schedules for construction projects.
•Strong knowledge of contract administration, including construction contract documents and dispute management techniques.
