Job Summary

Serve as the regional technical authority for complex DHA LAN/WLAN/WAN network operations supporting MTFs and other DHA activities in the CONUS region. Lead troubleshooting and high-level installation, configuration, and security work across routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, VPN devices, and IDS/IPS, ensuring reliable service for MHS clinical and administrative systems. Coordinate changes and documentation in a multi-provider EITSI environment, while providing escalation guidance and technical leadership for distributed field support.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the premier regional Senior Network Engineer and technical authority for OCONUS DHA networked facilities, providing escalation and coordination when needed.
•Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues impacting network availability, performance, security posture, and clinical mission support.
•Lead installation, configuration, documentation, management, tuning, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, VPN devices, IDS/IPS, and circuit connectivity.
•Use tools and methods such as SolarWinds/Orion, ARMIS, Ansible, diagnostics, and MIB/MRTG concepts to isolate root cause, restore service, and recommend corrective actions.
•Implement and document STIG-compliant configurations, IAVA remediation, vulnerability fixes, and RMF/ATO technical artifacts; coordinate configuration and security changes with stakeholders and provide regional technical leadership.

Salary: USD 125,937 - 214,502 annually

Key Requirements

•Active DoD Secret clearance required.
•Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent) plus 5+ years of related experience; or technical/vocational completion with 10 years progressively complex experience.
•DoD cyber workforce compliance aligned to DoD 8570.01-M; IAM Level III (or equivalent) profile required; CISSP (or equivalent) required; CCNP required.
•Mastery of enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN architecture and routed/switched networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and core routing/wireless technologies.
•Hands-on Cisco network infrastructure experience and ability to implement STIG-compliant configurations and IAVA remediation with RMF/ATO technical artifacts.
