Senior/Staff Engineer leading AI-first systems in a Bengaluru hub to architect and scale petabyte-scale data pipelines and backend services. Key Responsibilities

•Use agentic AI models to write, refactor, and test code, juggling multiple workflows simultaneously to achieve 10x productivity.
•Design, build, and optimize backend systems and data pipelines capable of securely processing petabytes of global video and telemetry data.
•Own the health and scaling of our heavy-duty infrastructure, optimizing high-throughput AWS environments and managing ECS services such as video transcoding with deep observability.
•Lead the end-to-end technical development of Instawork Lens and Instawork Prism, ensuring continuous quality assurance loops and seamless data enrichment.
•Work closely with ML experts, mobile developers, data ops, and remote QA teams to translate frontier lab requirements into production-ready systems.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in distributed systems, databases, and networks
•Extensive experience with cloud computing (AWS) and container orchestration
•Proficiency in backend and full-stack development (Python, Django, React) and scaling high-throughput data pipelines
•Ability to design, build, and optimize backend systems and data pipelines for petabyte-scale data
•Strong leadership, mentorship, and ability to guide architectural discussions and ship in a fast-paced environment
