Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide live Social Studies instruction and support in an online environment, using K12 curriculum and pacing schedules.
  • •Create and deliver synchronous learning experiences and augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures.
  • •Monitor and report student academic and pacing progress using Stride K12’s learning management system, generating formal reports and flagging concerns.
  • •Communicate regularly with students and associated schools (email/phone), and participate in virtual staff meetings and academic-focused meetings.
  • •Support the learning community through orientations, training/social/educational activities, and creating a monthly newsletter or updated website as needed.

Salary: USD 17 - 20 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Appropriate state Department of Education High School (9–12) Social Studies teaching certification (required).
  • •One (1) year industry experience leading to certification (or equivalent education/experience combination).
  • •Strong content and subject-matter knowledge with ability to support and guide adults and students.
  • •Ability to pass required background check and be willing/able to obtain additional state licensing as required.
