Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the technical delivery of mechanical engineering for ports, marine terminals, coastal infrastructure, and waterfront developments across Canada.
  • •Drive technical excellence and accountable project delivery across mechanical systems, including material handling, utilities, pumping, fire protection, and specialized marine infrastructure.
  • •Build trusted relationships with port authorities, terminal operators, public agencies, Indigenous communities, contractors, and industry partners.
  • •Lead and guide a mechanical engineering team through complex technical decisions, design reviews, quality assurance, constructability, risk management, and project execution.
  • •Advance sustainable and resilient solutions that improve operational performance and reduce lifecycle impacts while responding to climate and coastal hazards.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 147,500 - 195,400 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related) and registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain it.
  • •Extensive experience leading mechanical engineering for ports, marine terminals, coastal facilities, waterfront infrastructure, heavy industrial operations, or comparable complex assets.
  • •Proven success leading multidisciplinary technical teams, complex projects, and senior professionals in a consulting environment.
  • •Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems for marine and port facilities, including material handling, pumping, utilities, fire protection, equipment integration, and corrosion-resistant design.
  • •Record of building trusted client relationships and contributing to proposals and major project opportunities.
