Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze geotechnical data from field sites and samples to support project development, design, and construction.
  • •Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate measurement, statistical analysis, and reporting.
  • •Perform geotechnical engineering work and site inspections, including subsurface investigations, settlement analysis, soil erosion, lateral earth pressures, hazards, underground water, and slope stability.
  • •Develop construction plans/specifications, cost estimates, and safety/phasing plans while coordinating with owners and other disciplines.
  • •Prepare technical reports, visualizations, and presentations; review Phase I and Phase II geotechnical/environmental reports and guide entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with prior geotechnical design experience.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • •Proficiency in geotechnical engineering concepts (e.g., foundations, slope stability, seismic engineering, retaining wall design, ground improvement, excavation support, dewatering) and their application to permitting.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design projects.
