Job Summary

Provide senior geotechnical engineering assistance for multisite/phase due diligence and infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors. Lead site investigations and data analysis (soil/rock/water, surveys, GIS), ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance, and develop construction plans, specs, cost estimates, and safety phasing. Conduct research, inspections, modeling, and reporting, review Phase I/II geotechnical/environmental reports, and guide junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze geotechnical data from field sites and samples to support project development, design, and construction.
•Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate measurement, statistical analysis, and reporting.
•Perform geotechnical engineering work and site inspections, including subsurface investigations, settlement analysis, soil erosion, lateral earth pressures, hazards, underground water, and slope stability.
•Develop construction plans/specifications, cost estimates, and safety/phasing plans while coordinating with owners and other disciplines.
•Prepare technical reports, visualizations, and presentations; review Phase I and Phase II geotechnical/environmental reports and guide entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with prior geotechnical design experience.
•Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
•Proficiency in geotechnical engineering concepts (e.g., foundations, slope stability, seismic engineering, retaining wall design, ground improvement, excavation support, dewatering) and their application to permitting.
•Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design projects.
