Job Summary

Lead the planning, design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure and Three Waters projects for the Hawke’s Bay team. Provide technical leadership and design management, producing and reviewing feasibility studies, calculations, specifications, contract documentation and construction estimates. Oversee construction supervision, contract administration, technical reviews, and project risk management while ensuring compliance. Build client and stakeholder relationships, support business growth through proposals, and mentor emerging engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead planning, design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure and Three Waters projects, including pipelines, pump stations, stormwater and land development.
•Provide engineering expertise and design management to ensure quality and technical excellence.
•Prepare and review reports, feasibility studies, designs, calculations, specifications, contract documentation and construction estimates.
•Undertake construction supervision, contract administration and technical reviews, managing project risks and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
•Coach, mentor and support colleagues while building client relationships and contributing to proposals and business growth.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent professional registration.
•10+ years’ experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure, land development and/or Three Waters projects.
•Strong technical capability across civil infrastructure design, project delivery and engineering advisory services.
•Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage stakeholders and build client relationships.
