Job Summary

Hands-on hardware internship focused on realizing front-end designs in silicon, developing and running Physical Design flows to synthesize blocks, automating final design checks, and informing RTL design decisions for Etched’s AI-focused ASICs. You’ll work closely with world-class engineers in San Jose on real-world silicon projects, gaining mentorship and exposure to cutting-edge transformer-driven hardware.

Key Responsibilities

•Realize front-end designs in silicon and contribute to improving iteration speed to final sign-off.
•Develop and run Physical Design flows to synthesize blocks and automate final design checks.
•Advise RTL design decisions based on PD results and verification feedback.
•Collaborate with RTL, verification, and PD teams to ensure design correctness and timing.
•Learn quickly about transformers and other aspects of modern artificial intelligence to apply to hardware design.

Key Requirements

•Progress towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
•Familiarity with high-speed digital logic
•Exposure to ASIC or SoC design concepts
•Familiarity with SystemVerilog, UVM, or Python
•Familiarity with verification work and writing test benches
