Job Summary

Perform regulated interstate pipeline and storage accounting supporting one of the largest natural gas pipeline assets in the U.S. Prepare accurate monthly journal entries, analyze transportation and storage contracts for ASC 606 revenue recognition, and explain income statement variances. Support monthly close processes, internal controls, balance sheet reconciliations, and timely regulatory reporting (State, FERC, EIA) while assisting internal/external audit requests.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare timely and accurate monthly journal entries and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
•Analyze transportation and storage contracts for proper revenue recording per ASC 606.
•Analyze and explain monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date income statement variances.
•Prepare and present monthly close meeting schedules and ensure internal controls compliance.
•Complete regulatory reporting (State, FERC, EIA) and support internal/external audit requests, including periodic system testing.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of experience.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and pay close attention to detail.
•Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe.
•Experience with natural gas pipeline operations is highly desired.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities with strict or changing deadlines and communicate effectively.
