Key Responsibilities

  • •Build deeply integrated Android product experiences using Android platform capabilities.
  • •Develop across Android framework and system APIs, system services, lifecycle/background execution primitives, IPC, permissions, notifications, and intents.
  • •Identify and use device capabilities (audio, camera, sensors, connectivity, location, notifications, credentials) to enable context-aware AI experiences.
  • •Create scalable abstractions turning device-specific capabilities into reusable platform layers for multiple devices, OEMs, and form factors.
  • •Take ownership end to end—from technical exploration and architecture through implementation, testing, launch, and iteration—with reliability, performance, privacy, and security in mind.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep experience building and shipping high-quality Android software used by real customers.
  • •Strong knowledge of the Android platform beyond UI, including framework APIs, system services, lifecycle, permissions, IPC, background execution, and device capabilities.
  • •Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java and comfort working across a large Android codebase.
  • •Experience with AOSP, Android framework internals, system applications, privileged APIs, device software, or OEM-specific Android integrations.
