Job Summary

Manage Huntsman Performance Products’ Environmental, Health & Safety function for the Conroe site, partnering with site leadership to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. Lead the EHS group, advise the Site Manager on environmental and safety matters, oversee implementation of federal/state/local regulations, coordinate with the Occupational Health and Safety Center of Excellence and Medical Department, and drive “Zero Harm” culture including emergency response coordination.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct the site environmental, health and safety group to provide a safe, healthy, and environmentally sound work environment for employees and the neighboring community.
•Advise the Site Manager on environmental compliance, health and safety, including legal matters.
•Direct implementation of federal, state, and local EHS policies and regulations and assure compliance for areas under direction.
•Administer site EHS policies, evaluate work, and make recommendations on hiring, promotions, salaries, and release decisions under direction.
•Represent the “Zero Harm” program and coordinate site security needs and emergency response efforts, including emergency response and evacuation plans.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field with 10+ years of work-related experience.
•Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
•Proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
•Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
•High technical and analytical abilities to identify EHS trends and act to address them with minimal disruption and expense.
