Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with Engineering and AIT colleagues to refine requirements and timelines for MGSE needed for assembly and testing activities.
  • •Conceptualise, design (CAD including manufacturing drawings), procure, and commission MGSE.
  • •Validate design compatibility with external loads using mechanical analysis/hand calculations/proof tests.
  • •Coordinate with suppliers on MGSE designs for manufacturability and adequate processes.
  • •Support manufacturing/procurement follow-up with suppliers and provide instructions/support for MGSE assembly, commissioning, and implementation.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD design/drafting (e.g., Siemens NX) and FE analysis (e.g., Hypermesh).
  • •Mechanical/Aerospace engineering degree or similar focused on machine/structural design.
  • •Strong machine design understanding, including manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding), design for manufacturing, and GD&T.
  • •Familiarity with margin calculation methodologies for applications such as beam design, bolted joints, and welds.
  • •Good documentation skills (design descriptions, assembly instructions, test reports) and ability to support mechanical tests (in-house a plus).
