Key Responsibilities

  • •Assemble fuel cell prototype components and stack them per drawings and build instructions.
  • •Handle sensitive components (films, thin sheets, electronic components) and perform precise, repeatable placement with high tolerance requirements.
  • •Execute and document activities according to quality requirements.
  • •Check and continuously improve build instructions and drawings, and create/improve work instructions.
  • •Prepare and assemble subassemblies and test items in close coordination with test engineers and the development team, including maintenance/repair/conversion of prototypes.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed technical/scientific vocational training or further training as a technician/industrial master (e.g., Werkzeugmacher, Musterbauer, Modellbauer, Feinmechaniker, Elektromeister).
  • •Practical experience building fuel cell systems and working with sensitive, flexible fuel cell components.
  • •Strong hand/precision fine-motor skills and ability to work to tight tolerances.
  • •Experience using standard tools and measuring equipment when building prototypes; experience with technical equipment like hydraulic presses is a plus.
  • •Basic knowledge of PEM fuel cells is a plus; ability to work independently, communicate well, and work in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.
