Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and oversee daily operations of the construction project accounting department, including managerial responsibility over multiple project accountants.
  • •Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and financial reports, including verification of AIA applications for payment across the project portfolio.
  • •Provide guidance on lien waivers, stored materials, deposit logs, payroll reporting, and local hiring; support project budgeting, cost reporting, and forecasting with project managers.
  • •Perform internal audits such as spot-checking applications for payment, auditing budgets/costs/financial performance, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close.
  • •Support audits and compliance, post job cost transactions, process miscellaneous payables and expense reports, and prepare invoices and financial analyses for management review.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in accounting, finance, or a related field with 6+ years (Supervisor) or 8+ years (Manager) of construction accounting experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
  • •Prior management experience and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Hands-on experience with AIA applications for payment and related documentation.
  • •Working knowledge of Textura and CMiC; Procore knowledge is beneficial.
  • •Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; fluent in English.
