Job Summary

Lead a team of Quantitative Auditors performing complex technical audit assessments across Truist’s financial and non-financial models and quantitative tools. Oversee model validation reviews, collaborate across Model Risk Management and business stakeholders, and help improve model risk governance through process and internal-control recommendations. Maintain expertise in regulatory model risk guidance, coach junior team members, and provide subject-matter input across audit workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee execution of model validation reviews led by less experienced Quantitative Auditors within the Model Risk Management Technical Review Team.
•Build and maintain relationships with Model Risk Management, Model Development, and Model Owners across the first and second lines of defense.
•Improve Truist model risk management by recommending process/system improvements and supporting establishment of internal controls and monitoring techniques for models.
•Oversee collaboration across business and function audit teams and provide subject matter expertise for model validation and review assessments.
•Train, coach, and mentor junior team members to enhance model audit work and provide training on complex areas.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 114,180 - 216,930 annually

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or post-undergraduate certification focused on quantitative or financial analytics.
•8+ years of technical model experience, such as model validation, model development, or equivalent technical review/audit experience.
•Experience managing a team of model reviewers/developers, including performance evaluations, recruitment, and retention.
•Strong understanding of financial modeling methodologies, including statistical and algorithmic methods applied in financial modeling.
•Strong programming and analytics skills (R, Python, or C++), plus database tooling knowledge such as SAS and/or SQL.
