Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform QA inspection of structural steel fabrication activities in the shop and the field, including dimensional checks, welding inspection, NDT, coatings, and material test reports.
  • •Monitor and measure surface preparation, surface cleanliness, environmental conditions, and paint kit mixing and applications for compliance with contract documents and standards.
  • •Communicate and coordinate with owners, fabricators, engineers, NDT technicians, and other coating professionals.
  • •Write daily shop/field reports in digital format.
  • •Participate in WSP safety meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum 9 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
  • •NACE / AMPP or SSPC Coatings Certification Level II.
  • •AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification.
  • •Computer skills with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office; strong verbal and written communication and ability to work independently and with others.
