Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop advanced motor control algorithms (including sensorless motor control) for proof-of-concept prototypes.
  • •Design, simulate, implement, and test new motor control functionality in embedded systems.
  • •Provide leadership toward performance and technology objectives for electronic systems, components, and sub-assemblies.
  • •Develop electrification solutions for power tools and outdoor equipment as part of the Electrification and Advanced Technology team.
  • •Document designs and decisions, communicate with stakeholders, manage project schedules, and mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •BSEE or MSEE in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • •Experience with C and C++ software development and knowledge of assembly programming.
  • •Experience using microcontrollers and peripherals such as timers, ADC, and communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C).
  • •Experience with closed-loop control and feedback systems, including motor drive systems and Field Oriented Control.
  • •Strong understanding of embedded software concepts including hard real-time processing, scheduling, cooperative multitasking, interrupt processing, race conditions, and RTOS.
