Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage technical design delivery for multiple US projects, coordinating with WSP’s US-based lead design teams to meet schedule, quality, and budget constraints.
  • •Plan and design deliverables per US engineering standards across project stages, including concept studies and detailed designs.
  • •Lead the design process through construction design and delivery, supported by technical staff across grades.
  • •Perform technical guidance, project management, cost and quality control, and prepare work briefs for technical approval and tender/construction use.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered to budget/programme/technical standards and meet Quality, Sustainability and HSE requirements; mentor team members and support fee proposals and financial control when acting as team lead.

Key Requirements

  • •Take on a leadership role in project delivery with technical excellence, managing multiple projects and contributing to early-stage design.
  • •12 to 15 years of work experience, including at least 5 years managing multi-disciplinary project and core design work.
  • •Comprehensive experience in highway and/or drainage design, including traffic controls, utilities, sign & signals, and clashes.
  • •Applied knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and FHWA standards/specifications/guidelines (US/UK familiarity desirable).
  • •Professional or near-professional engineer profile, with Chartered status (PE, CEng, MICE, MIHT, or MCIWEM) or equivalent experience/qualification.
