Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the technical direction for Canva’s hybrid mobile platform across React Native, iOS, and Android, defining what’s shared vs native and how layers interact.
  • •Turn the architecture into shipped production code, establishing foundations for performance, reliability, and observability.
  • •Deliver a React Native production surface within six months, supported by stable platform primitives teams can build on.
  • •Serve as the architectural anchor for Staff and Senior engineers during the migration, guiding difficult technical decisions.
  • •Scale platform adoption by working with major product teams, establishing trusted engineering patterns and influencing a broad mobile organization.
