Job Summary

Create and deliver urban roads/highway design plans in line with Finnish Roads & Highways engineering standards. You’ll use Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other tools to produce highway deliverables such as alignments and intersection designs, support roadway modeling, and help ensure projects meet time, budget, quality, and safety requirements. Partner with senior engineers, lead country stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams, including site visits and QA reviews.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with senior engineers and lead country stakeholders to create urban roads/highway design plans and ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
•Use Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related software to design and draft layouts, grading, alignments, intersections, and roadway modeling deliverables.
•Conduct research to determine effective and sustainable design methods for highway tender, construction, and maintenance.
•Assist with cost and time estimates, monitor progress against deadlines/budgets, and proactively manage risks with updates to senior/lead stakeholders.
•Coordinate with contractors and external agencies, conduct site visits/inspections, and support QA documentation and design reviews including self-check and review steps.

Key Requirements

•Master of Science (preferably in engineering) or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
•Minimum 5 years of working experience on infrastructure projects and detail design of urban roads/highways.
•Experience with international codes and practices for highway design.
•Competent in Civil 3D and AutoCAD; knowledge of C3D-Naviate, Novapoint, and Navisworks is preferred.
•Knowledge of highway design principles, codes, standards, and regulations, including relevant technical design guidance (e.g., DMRB, MfS, TSRGD, HCD, IAN 184).
