Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a legal partner and liaison to HR Leadership, providing reliable and timely employment and labor law advice.
  • •Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Talent Management & Inclusion, and Data Analytics) to deliver legal guidance for business decisions.
  • •Support Employee & Labor Relations, including union contract negotiations, labor relations strategies, and responses to grievances and arbitration with dispute counsel.
  • •Oversee immigration matters in partnership with the Senior Employment Paralegal and guide immigration-related legal work.
  • •Lead defensive readiness and HR compliance oversight, including documentation standards and training/coaching for HR professionals, and manage outside counsel engagements.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • •Active member of a state bar in good standing.
  • •Minimum 7 years of experience practicing employment and/or labor law, including litigation and counseling.
  • •Knowledge of employment laws including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and matters such as wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, employee classification, labor/union relations, and restrictive covenants.
  • •Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities with discretion and judgment in highly confidential matters.
