Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and grow Shield AI’s earned media footprint across the Middle East by building relationships with regional defense, technology, and business journalists.
  • •Develop and execute proactive media strategies tied to product milestones, contract announcements, partnerships, and major defense exhibitions and events.
  • •Serve as a regional point of contact for media inquiries, managing sensitive or reactive communications and preparing executives and spokespeople for interviews.
  • •Develop and localize regional communications content (press releases, bylines, talking points, speeches, and executive briefings) for Middle East audiences.
  • •Shape and protect Shield AI’s narrative and reputation, anticipate narrative risk, and monitor news, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of communications experience, with time in defense, aerospace, government, or technology; mix of in-house and agency experience welcome.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, political science, international relations, or a similar field.
  • •Native Arabic-speaker with fluent English and exceptional written and verbal storytelling skills.
  • •Experience developing content and messaging for media relations, executive communications, and issues management.
  • •Proven earned media track record in Middle East markets, with focus on the UAE, KSA, and Qatar.
