Key Responsibilities

  • •Hands-on coding/debugging to resolve customer issues and analyze/enable customer use-cases, feeding patches and fixes to mainline software.
  • •Bring up customer boards with a Linux kernel and device drivers as reference boards.
  • •Serve as a subject matter expert on Linux system software, kernel, and high-speed I/O drivers for FAE, customers, and partners.
  • •Optimize driver performance to achieve maximum platform/silicon entitlement in customer products through power/performance and driver optimization.
  • •Author application notes and deliver technical training, and prepare/deploy Linux distro packages integrating components.

Salary: INR 2,025,310 - 2,893,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree in CS/EE with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Experience with embedded software development in Linux, including user/kernel mode device drivers, bootloaders, kernel configuration and tuning, and power/performance management.
  • •Experience developing and debugging high-speed I/O drivers and protocols such as PCIe, USB, SATA, plus I2C and SPI.
  • •Knowledge of open-source management, generating and upstreaming patches across different Linux kernels and distros, including Linux runtime/build infrastructure.
  • •Strong debugging/problem-solving skills and ability to scope work, drive closure, and travel as needed.
