As Canva scales its frontend stack, you will own the Portable UI Platform, shipping a cross-platform React component library for web and React Native, guiding design system evolution, and mentoring engineers. •Own the Portable UI Platform: Ship shared React components across web and React Native that multiple Canva surfaces depend on before end of 2026.
•Abstract cross-platform complexity: Solve problems once in the platform layer to give product teams portable-first capability for free.
•Set the standard: Define how portable components are built, distributed, and consumed to scale for 800+ engineers.
•Mentor engineers: Guide through design and code reviews, decisions, and daily work during the shift to cross-platform.
•Influence across boundaries: Work with product teams to understand needs, sequence work, and drive platform adoption.

•Cross-Platform Development: Hands-on experience with cross-platform and cross-device UI/UX development using React Native
•Delivery at Scale: Proven track record of shipping large, cross-functional projects across multiple teams with highly reliable, scalable technical solutions
•Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
