Job Summary

Lead high-voltage (HV) primary circuit engineering for substation projects (AIS/GIS) from concept through detail design and construction support. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, develop HV substation layouts and busbar/equipment arrangements, and ensure designs meet IEC/IEEE and local grid code requirements. Support power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, equipment ratings), manage technical risks, mentor engineers, and provide on-site support during installation, testing, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as technical lead for HV primary circuit engineering on substation projects (AIS/GIS) from concept through detail design and construction support.
•Develop and review HV primary circuit designs including substation layouts, equipment arrangements, busbar configurations, and HV cable systems.
•Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with project managers, clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely delivery.
•Contribute to and review power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, equipment rating assessments) and ensure consistency between primary design, protection requirements, and system performance.
•Provide expert technical guidance and mentor junior and intermediate engineers; support construction, installation, testing, and commissioning as needed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
•10+ years of experience in T&D primary circuit design and project management with demonstrated leadership.
•Fluency in English; Dutch language is required.
•Experience delivering construction projects in the Netherlands is essential.
•Proficiency with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, PSCAD, and ETAP.
