Key Responsibilities

•Manage all aspects of the rigging department, developing the team and coordinating work activities across involved crafts during construction efforts.
•Manage and develop lift plans; approve moderate risk lifts; verify critical lifts; coordinate heavy haul; determine crane configurations and rigging design.
•Provide leadership for organizational structure and processes to execute rigging services, including quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost.
•Evaluate rigging execution for compliance with contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality; communicate status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors.
•Adopt and ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs; follow maintenance plans for departmental equipment; manage budgeting for the department cost center and ensure mandatory training completion.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) plus trade school and/or a craft apprentice program.
•15 to 20 years in the energy and petrochemical industry across EPCI project delivery, with at least 10 years in a supervision role.
•In-depth experience in rigging and heavy transport, including rigging large-bore pipe and equipment into structures by mechanized and/or manual means.
•Ability to work with engineering to develop the “Right Plan” for all lifting scenarios and to set up, coordinate, and control multi-crane lifts.
•Knowledge of OSHA guidelines for rigging and ability to understand detailed engineering/fabrication drawings; computer literate in Microsoft programs.
