Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, assessment, and optimization of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and mine waste systems across all project phases
  • •Apply advanced geotechnical engineering principles to evaluate slope stability, seepage, drainage, and long-term performance
  • •Deliver high-quality engineering analyses, reports, drawings, and technical specifications that support safe and efficient designs
  • •Support Engineer of Record (EOR) mandates, dam safety reviews, and risk assessments
  • •Manage or contribute to project delivery including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering
  • •8–12+ years of experience in mine waste, tailings, or related geotechnical engineering roles
  • •Demonstrated experience with tailings dams, waste rock piles, heap leach pads, or similar facilities
  • •Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks and dam safety guidelines
  • •Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software such as GeoStudio, PLAXIS, FLAC, or equivalent
