Job Summary

Operate a variety of rolling and paving-related equipment for groundwork and construction work. Coordinate material flow by adjusting machine settings, indicating low spots, and maintaining a constant asphalt/material flow. Set up curb forms and guidelines, cut/break pavement and drive guardrail posts, and perform expansion joint/crack routing operations. Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment or report malfunctions to supervisors while following safety procedures and jobsite requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes.
•Drive/transport machines and material to and from job sites, including coordinating truck dumping.
•Observe paving material distribution and adjust machine settings/material flow while indicating low spots for workers.
•Set up forms and lay out curb guidelines using written specifications and materials.
•Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment or report malfunctions to supervisors.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
•Minimum of 1 year of experience and/or training in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Minimum of 3 years of road construction experience preferred.
•Must maintain a current driver’s license meeting state requirements (CDL, Class A and/or B) with possible hazmat and tanker endorsements.
•Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check, and comply with OSHA/MSHA and safety procedures.
