Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and set up new operating model elements for Alternatives investment capabilities across portfolio/fund structures in collaboration with Operational Design and Delivery teams.
  • •Support changes to operating models to reflect new services, processes, and controls.
  • •Contribute to an end-to-end process mapping effort with functional architecture, 1st line of Defence risk and controls, and 2nd line of Defence for review assurance.
  • •Help develop a global effective operation framework, including complexity and risk assessment and comprehensive documentation aligned with HSBC standards.
  • •Engage third-party providers to assess product and technology services related to Alternatives capabilities and support operational due diligence and integration planning for new counterparties.

Key Requirements

  • •Working experience with Alternative products, preferably within investment operations or equivalent middle-office services in asset management.
  • •Experience supporting operating model design and/or fund structures, with Real Assets and/or Private Credit operating models as a plus.
  • •Strong operational risk management experience in a changing environment.
  • •Effective project management, organisational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines accurately.
  • •Experience engaging with and assessing outsourced service providers; professional certifications such as CAIA, CFA, ACA, ACCA, or FRM are an advantage.
