Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and deliver strategic development plans to drive quality, growth, and profitability for the Disability & Rehabilitation portfolio.
  • •Oversee and manage P&Ls under the direction of the Executive Publisher and meet revenue and article volume targets.
  • •Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic societies and journal editors, and develop networks within academic communities.
  • •Ensure compliance with Taylor & Francis journal policies and optimize publishing processes for efficiency and quality.
  • •Collaborate across teams to support Editor Services and ensure publication quality and timeliness, while taking accountability for learning and skills development.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record working in scholarly publications.
  • •Knowledge of publishing best practice and policies, including publication ethics, funder mandates, and industry trends.

  • •Experience working with external partners such as editors, editorial boards, and society leadership, including recruiting external academic editors.
  • •An understanding of financial reporting and analysis for academic journals, including prior P&L responsibility and ability to gather competitive intelligence and perform market analysis.
