Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and mentor the Technical Accounting team and support the transformation journey.
  • •Develop and document technical accounting position papers and explain them to Finance stakeholders, internal teams, and external auditors.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally to embed accounting into the business and keep IFRS/US GAAP processes and accounting policies up to date.
  • •Own management of high-stakes accounting workstreams to support internal and external financial reporting compliance, including future US listing readiness.
  • •Act as the primary contact with auditors and other stakeholders from the Technical Accounting team side.

Salary: GBP 111,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Very strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge, ensuring correct application of accounting standards across products and services.
  • •5+ years’ experience as a Technical Accounting Lead, Senior Technical Accountant, Senior Accounting Adviser, or Senior Audit Manager.
  • •Experience managing accounting projects and improving accounting processes under SOX controls requirements.
  • •Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements that enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.
  • •Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to explain accounting positions to Finance stakeholders, teams across Wise, and external auditors.
