Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the long-term roadmap and architectural strategy for the global Observability Platform, consolidating and modernizing monitoring stacks on open standards like OpenTelemetry.
  • •Architect, scale, and optimize high-throughput, low-latency telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines for fault tolerance, durability, and cost efficiency.
  • •Optimize platform performance and resource utilization to maintain service margins while supporting aggressive telemetry volume growth.
  • •Partner with Site Reliability Engineering, Core Product, and incident management to standardize SLOs, enforce error budgets, and improve alerting and escalation workflows.
  • •Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering organization across global sites, fostering inclusive, accountable, zero-toil automation culture.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leveraging generative AI tools, AI/ML models, or intelligent agents to optimize production engineering workflows, automate incident-response toil, or improve predictive observability analytics.
  • •7+ years managing managers, technical leads, and distributed engineering organizations of 30+ engineers in hyper-scale SaaS, cloud, or high-transaction distributed systems.
  • •Deep expertise in modern observability and telemetry systems, including distributed tracing, high-cardinality metrics, log analytics, and telemetry routing with OpenTelemetry and related technologies.
  • •Strong architectural foundation in cloud-native paradigms, Kubernetes/container orchestration, microservices, and practical Site Reliability Engineering methodologies and incident command structures.
  • •Ability to work on-site at Headquarters at least 3 days a week, influencing executives and driving cross-functional alignment.
