Job Summary

Lead structured cabling and broader building technology projects end-to-end, providing technical expertise, design guidance, and project delivery leadership for complex AEC engagements. Coordinate requirements, integration, construction documents, and QA/QC across clients, design teams, and contractors. Own project financial performance, mentor staff, and drive business development—building trusted relationships and leading proposal/fee development to grow the Building Technology Systems practice.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and serve as a subject matter expert for Structured Cabling system design, standards development, and design innovation.
•Lead large-scale building technology projects and multidisciplinary teams, managing scope, budget, schedule, staffing, and quality.
•Coordinate structured cabling integration within building systems, lead design discussions, and oversee coordinated construction documents (drawings and CSI specifications).
•Review and respond to technology system submittals and RFIs using Procore, Newforma, ACC, and similar platforms; oversee site surveys and field reporting.
•Drive business development by strengthening client relationships, developing proposals/fees, and identifying new opportunities to grow the practice.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
•10+ years of experience designing and managing complex Structured Cabling systems in the AEC consulting industry or related technology infrastructure environments.
•BICSI RCDD certification strongly preferred (additional industry certifications a plus).
•Expertise in structured cabling design, telecommunications infrastructure (entrance facilities, MDF/IDF, backbone and horizontal cabling, pathways), and applying industry standards and calculations to develop compliant solutions.
•Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows.
