Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as overall legal lead for Asia Pacific and directly handle commercial and operational legal matters across South East Asia.
  • •Translate business priorities into a regional legal agenda and drive implementation with the region’s management.
  • •Provide practical legal guidance and risk assessments; draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
  • •Advise management on corporate governance and compliance matters, including anti-bribery/anti-corruption, export control, and sanctions.
  • •Manage disputes, claims, investigations, and litigation; monitor regulatory developments and coordinate external counsel as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Recognized law degree and admission or qualification to practise law in a relevant jurisdiction.
  • •At least 7 years of relevant experience in a reputable commercial law firm and/or an in-house legal function within a multinational company.
  • •Strong business acumen to balance commercial opportunities with appropriate legal and ethical risk management.
  • •Ability to advise and constructively challenge senior management with confidence and credibility.
  • •Experience operating independently across multiple countries, cultures, and legal systems without relying on a local legal team.
