Job Summary

Lead geotechnical engineering work for projects delivered from the Naas office, producing technically competent reports and managing project delivery with strong financial control. Develop proposals to secure new business, support client liaison and consultations, and oversee ground investigation activities and design/report checking. Mentor and develop professional staff while applying Eurocode 7 requirements and geotechnical software to deliver projects from inception through construction.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop professional, technically competent reports and liaise with specialists and clients across a wide range of sectors.
•Produce proposals to secure new business and project opportunities.
•Effectively manage and deliver project work with robust project financial management.
•Support project delivery including client liaison, contractors, sub-consultants, public and statutory body consultation, quality control, and management of specialists.
•Manage, motivate, mentor, and develop professional staff, including assisting with team resource management and allocation.

Key Requirements

•Technical expertise in geotechnical engineering with demonstrable understanding of underlying principles.
•Chartered professional qualification and significant post-qualification experience.
•Experience delivering geotechnical, engineering geology, and other ground engineering projects, including high-level report preparation.
•Proven experience undertaking and managing desk studies, Ground Investigations (GIs), and checking Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Design Reports to Eurocode 7 Part 1.
•Working knowledge of Eurocode 7 and ground investigation and construction contracts and specifications.
